| Description: | Black trackers and horses on return from journey to find the Westland Widgeon VH-UKA Kookaburra, Wave Hill. The trackers were actually stockmen from Wave Hill Station. The ground party searching for the Kookaburra consisted of the trackers, Moray Lawrence (the manager of Wave Hill Station), RAAF Flight Lieutenant Charles Eaton and RAAF Sgt Eric Douglas. They set out into the Tanami Desert with 26 horses to carry supplies and Moray's 1927 Buick tourer. |
