“Writing ,from Blackboy Hills Camp, near Perth, W A., under date 8th November, Mr. David Campbell Macpherson, formerly color-sergeant in the Sutherland Highlanders, states: Just a few lines to let you know I got on all right after leaving Darwin. From Fremantle I went to Perth, and then joined down there. We are training hard and getting fit to knock the Germans out. There are a great many Scotchmen in the 16th (16th Infantry, W.A., Australian Imperial Expeditionary Force) so) I am well pleased. We hope soon to get away."
