|Description:||The 1st and 2nd contingent of Northern Territory volunteers for the front, leaving on the "Taiyuan". All these men paid their own fares to Townsville. Clara Lister and her son, Alwyn, are also on board. Clara developed malaria and returned to Victoria. The 'Taiyuan' contingent consisted of Neil Boyle; J. T. Johnson; L. P. Weatherbv; R. W. Stirling; P. C. Reaby; C. B Dickason; Jas. M. McDonald; G. Classen; J. Buckley; J. Beattie. (See also PH0135/0032).
