Description: The 1st and 2nd contingent of Northern Territory volunteers for the front, leaving on the "Taiyuan". All these men paid their own fares to Townsville. Clara Lister and her son, Alwyn, are also on board. Clara developed malaria and returned to Victoria. The 'Taiyuan' contingent consisted of Neil Boyle; J. T. Johnson; L. P. Weatherbv; R. W. Stirling; P. C. Reaby; C. B Dickason; Jas. M. McDonald; G. Classen; J. Buckley; J. Beattie. (See also PH0135/0032). Michele Adler viewed the original 13 July 2015 and on the basis of format and style, to be a possible Ryko photograph.
