Copyright and License

Story NT – Non-Exclusive Copyright Licence Agreement Terms and Conditions 1. I am the owner, or the owner’s authorised agent, of copyright in the submitted photograph, visual or sound recording and/or story (“the Material”). 2. I grant the Northern Territory of Australia represented by the Department of Natural Resources, Environment, the Arts and Sport through the Northern Territory Library (“the NT Library”) a non-exclusive, irrevocable copyright Licence to publish, communicate, reproduce, adapt, modify and use the whole or part of the Material for any purpose and in any format or medium. 3. The NT Library acknowledges that this Licence is non-exclusive and irrevocable and that I may use or permit the use of the Material for other purposes. However, I will not assign or grant an exclusive licence in respect of the Material to any third party which is inconsistent with this Agreement. 4. The NT Library will appropriately attribute and identify the nominated author or creator of the Material. 5. The NT Library will not substantially alter the Material without my consultation. 6. I warrant that: a. I have the authority and power to enter this Agreement; b. I have not assigned, either in whole or in part, or in any way dealt with the Material in a manner inconsistent with my obligations under this Agreement; and c. the Material is not or does not contain any matter which is offensive, illegal, defamatory, seditious, libellous or in breach of any law or any person’s rights. 7. I acknowledge that the NT Library does not have an obligation to publish the Material. 8. I agree to indemnify the NT Library and its employees, agents and contractors against all and any claims, demands, losses, damages or costs that the NT Library or its employees, agents or contractors incur or may incur as a result of my breach of this Agreement. 9. I acknowledge that once I have granted this copyright Licence to the NT Library it is irrevocable.
